The adoption process has been a wonderful experience. It has been emotional at points, but the journey overall has been amazing.

Through our three day preparation training in stage 1, and the meetings with our social worker, we have learnt so much in our journey - knowledge that will definitely help us throughout our journey and beyond.

Due to the coronavirus situation, we have had to have our meetings with our social worker via video calls.

Although having face-to-face would have been better for us, we totally understand the situation and are extremely grateful that the adoption process was kept going as smoothly as possible. At times the connection wasn't the best, but we managed to have our meetings and did our homework via emails.

We know what it is like living and working through this time of coronavirus as me and my wife are key workers, so can appreciate the effort everyone is putting in to the adoption process.

We would like to say a big thank to everyone involved for their hard work.
