Sophia is a happy little girl, who is described as a very loving child. She enjoys cuddles and interaction with familiar adults. She can be a bit unsure when she first meets new people, but soon settles once she feels reassured.
Sophia is becoming increasingly curious of the world around her, she enjoys exploring her environment now she is more mobile. At present Sophia enjoys playing with a wide range of age-appropriate interactive toys, she is especially drawn to toys with music and lights.
Sophia is becoming more mobile; she now confidently crawls and pulls herself to her knees to explore toys of interest to her. Sophia also bears weight on her legs when held up in the standing position. She is making general progress at her own pace.
Sophia currently experiences global developmental delay; due to this she is monitored by specialist early years professionals. She is making general progress at her own pace.
Sophia has several medical tests to explore if there are any identifiable reasons for her developmental delay and results all came back as normal. More tests have been conducted and we are currently awaiting the results.
Due to Sophia’s general delay, it is likely she will require a robust health care plan in the future we are seeking prospective adopter/s who are able to able to accept Sophia’s health uncertainties.
Both of Sophia’s birth parents have learning needs.
