Due to the current situation regarding Covid-19 I want to reassure all our adopters that we are doing everything we can to continue business as usual.
Due to this our head office at Priory Green, Wolverhampton will close from Monday 23 March, and all our staff are working from home. However, this does not mean that we won’t be here to support you. We are continuing to deliver our service in a different way.
We will continue to do all we can to provide those considering adoption with all the information you need to make an informed decision.
Following Government guidance, we regretfully have had to cancel our information events for the foreseeable future. We will contact those who have booked onto our next events (28 March 8 and 25 April) to discuss alternative arrangements with them. More information about this will follow.
New enquiries are always welcome, and in fact are needed now more than ever. If you hadn’t previously booked onto an event but would like more information, please call us on 0800 073 0597 or fill in our contact form.
Those adopters who are currently going through the process can be reassured that it is business as usual and your social worker will continue to support you throughout the process. They will explain to you what changes we have made and how we will work with you during this period.
I would like to personally reassure adopters that we are here to support you every step of the way. Details regarding our upcoming training events will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
Social workers will be undertaking virtual sessions particularly when reviewing assessment of needs (AON) and therapy. Initial AON assessments will also be undertaken virtually unless there is a risk of family breakdown, where we will try to undertake a face to face meeting if suitable.
We know it can be a difficult time for families with so much uncertainty and again we want to reassure you that we are still here to support you every step of the way.
